Biographies

Kerry Berg is a recognized expert in the field of accident reconstruction and has been investigating and reconstructing traffic collisions since 1972.  He has served over 24 years with two large, municipal law enforcement agencies. Mr. Berg has been a qualified expert in collision reconstruction since 1985, reviewing and investigating over 25,000 collisions of every type.  Mr. Berg has reconstructed literally thousands of collisions and provided testimony at arbitrations, civil depositions, and courtroom trials.

Mr. Berg has complimented his 24 years of practical accident investigation experience by attending colleges and universities with a distinguished reputation for Accident Investigation and Reconstruction. Since graduating from the College of the Desert in 1971 Mr. Berg has attended the College of the Redwoods; Los Medanos College; Long Beach State University, University of California at Los Angeles; University of North Florida (IPTM), and the Northwestern University Traffic institute. Virtually all courses offered by those institutions in Traffic Accident Investigation and Reconstruction have been successfully completed.

In 1981 Mr. Berg obtained his teaching credential from the California State Board of Education and has been instructing in the field of Accident Investigation, Skid Mark Analysis and Reconstruction with Riverside City College and the University of California Riverside, as well as a variety of insurance companies and motor vehicle manufacturers.

Mr. Berg is a member in good standing with "S.O.A.R.," Society of Accident Reconstructionist, "S.A.T.A.I.," Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators, "C.A.A.R.S.," California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists, "N.A.P.A.R.S.," National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists, and "S.A.E.," Society of Automotive Engineers. He is also a Certified Accident Reconstructionist through "A.C.T.A.R.," Accreditation Commission For Traffic Accident Reconstruction (#218).   

 

 

Steve Haverkamp served for over 17 years with a large, municipal law enforcement agency. Over 11 years were spent as a Motorcycle Officer and Accident Investigator/Reconstructionist with his agency's Major Accident Investigation Team, investigating and reconstructing all types of collisions. Mr. Haverkamp has investigated and reconstructed thousands of accidents and testified as an expert in both civil and criminal courts as a result of his investigations. Additionally, Mr. Haverkamp was responsible for training over 100 new police officers in the field of accident investigation, and is certified as an instructor by P.O.S.T. in Traffic Radar Operation. Mr. Haverkamp has also testified in court as an expert in Driving Under the Influence.

Mr. Haverkamp has attended numerous schools and courses in accident reconstruction to complement his knowledge. Mr. Haverkamp possesses and A.S. degree in Administration of Justice from Riverside Community College, and has attended Los Medanos College, the University of North Florida (IPTM), and the University of California at Riverside.

Mr. Haverkamp is a member in good standing with "S.A.T.A.I.," Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators, and "C.A.A.R.S.," California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists.  He is also a Certified Accident Reconstructionist through "A.C.T.A.R.," Accreditation Commission For Traffic Accident Reconstruction (#1023).
